The following items for sale are one of a kind investment grade ship models. They all have strong Bermudian connections as shown in their notations. |
S.S. Silksworth Hall was built in 1907
by W. Doxford & Sons, Ltd., Sunderland for
Edward Nicholl & Co. operating with a British Flag. The vessel
was triple expansion turret hull steel screw steamer with many modern features for a cargo vessel of her time.
The vessel was 360.4ft in length, beam 53.1ft, drawing
approximately 26.1ft. The GRT was 4777. Unfortunately while on
passage from Hull to Philadelphia, she was sunk by a
German U-Boat 12, 1.25 miles NE of Corton Lighthouse vessel off the
coast of Suffolk in the North Sea, April 10th 1916.
